borrowed blog.....

I am borrowing this blog idea from a friend of mine. She too has three kidkets running around. But she is a much better balanced, wholesome, sane, talented women that I. But I liked the idea. So here it is
Things I DID not do....
I DID NOT forget to change Melissa's diaper for a full and complete day
I DID NOT let the kids have candy for breakfast while I sipped Coke wishing that they would sleep just for a few more hours
I DID NOT allow my 19 month old to escape into the backyard
I DID NOT complain
I DID NOT wallow that my BFF lives too far away
But
I DID kiss Ryan many extra times and continue to be amazed at the sweet softness of his cheeks
I DID cut up paper hearts, 365 of them, and write 317 DIFFERENT reasons of why I love my Honey and give them as a birthday gift (I ran out of reasons to make it to 365)
I DID manage to make a menu of meals for our family
Yeah!! So, what about you? Tell me what you did and did not do......

sister love

Melissa LOVES loving Ryan. The problem is she does not understand her big body can be heavy for a newborn. Or sometimes he doesn't want the Binky or what is being offered. When this happens she hits him (we are working on this.) But she just wants to help, oh, so bad.
We are starting basketball season this week. Caleb's team won their game today. Which is nice, but what was funny was watching the kids try to make baskets. His team rebounded the ball 9 times, not once actually making a basket! Oh so funny! They are all in 4Th grade so all the kids are gangly running around. It is a riot. People should pay to see these kids play and flop around on the court.

Lull in the storm

Did you know I dislike January and February more than any other months of the year? This is because they are the coldest months of the year, and there is absolutely nothing going on. Well, at least here in NM. Basketball season ends, nothing starts again for sport till end of March. My hubby's work is dead, in other words D U L L!! I HATE winter! HATE it! I was much better in AZ dealing with 70 degree Christmases and wearing flip flops year round. Sitting in the pool and hot tub during winter is pretty freaking awesome. But then so is seeing your baby's reaction to snow for the first time....can I have both?
And for the record, this season of basketball will be Caleb's last season of sports here in NM. It has become a HUGE hassle to take the kids to practices. Deal with coaches, the city and so forth. Ug, I just can't take it anymore. So you are wondering what we will do instead? hmmm save some $$. HA HA!! I plan on buying some passes to the pool and other attractions and then we can go this spring and summer all we want. So we will do things when WE (er, I) want to. Much better, I like it. :)
